The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred and significant pilgrimage circuits for Hindus, located in the Indian Himalayas. The term "Char Dham" translates to "four abodes" and refers to four holy shrines in Uttarakhand. These temples are dedicated to different deities and are believed to be the ultimate spiritual journey toward salvation. The Char Dham sites are:-

Yamunotri

Yamunotri:- Located at the source of the Yamuna River, this temple is dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna. Pilgrims begin the Char Dham Yatra here, symbolizing the start of their spiritual journey. The temple is located in a serene environment surrounded by snow-capped mountains and glaciers.

Gangotri

Gangotri:- This is the source of the holy river Ganga (Ganges). The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, and it's believed that Lord Shiva released the river from his hair at the spot. Gangotri is the second destination in the Char Dham circuit.

Kedarnath

Kedarnath:- This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas ( the holiest Shivas temples). It is located in a remote part of the Garhwal Himalayas, surrounded by majestic peaks and snow-capped mountains. The journey to Kedarnath is know for its challenging terrain.

Badrinath

Badrinath:- Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath is the most important of the Char Dham shrines. Situated between the Nar and Narayan moutain ranges, it hold great religious significance. The temple remains open for only six months of the year due to extreme weather conditions.
